Yvette A. Flunder

FOUNDATION

OUR HISTORY

Since 1986, the Yvette A. Flunder Foundation (YAFF)

has been committed to providing services and support that positively affect the quality of life of people affected by HIV. Our foundation is built on the philosophy that all persons have the right to dignity, compassion and ethical treatment, and the right to a clean, safe environment in which to live.

We reach out to those who are traditionally underserved, the vast majority of whom are people of color, LGBTQ, women, low or no income, and/or currently or imminently homeless, and who are often diagnosed with HIV or other disabling conditions. Our program services are confidential, interdisciplinary, and culturally sensitive and operate in tandem with medical and social service providers.

Our foundation’s board and staff many demographics include African American, Hispanic, Transgender, same-gender-loving and HIV positive men and women, in reflection of the populations we serve.
